Dolorès Marat Exhibition
Screening of the film "The Wave" by Armelle Sèvre
As part of the 10th PhotoBrussels Festival, the Baxton Gallery is honored to host Dolores Marat.
Discover the captivating work of Dolorès Marat, the first winner of the 2023 Robert Delpire book prize, through a monographic exhibition composed of around forty prints.
Dolores Marat likes to photograph at the blue hour, at nightfall or at daybreak in dimly lit, vaporous atmospheres, conducive to wonder.
She embraces this blur of movement, and her affinity with painting is reinforced by her choice of the Fresson carbon print. Hallucinatory images, fleeting visions, everything is suggested, allowing the viewer to invent their own stories.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by screenings of reports on the artist, including the film "La vague" by Armelle Sèvre, a documentary film about the work and world of the photographer from Avignon.
Practical information:
Exhibition from January 21 to March 8, 2026
Opening on January 21st from 6pm in the presence of the artist!
