W.Fox est un artiste belge qui a vécu de Mumbai à Montréal et de Lisbonne à Londres au cours des 10 dernières années. Vivre dans des environnements différents a fait progresser leur compréhension de l’impact culturel sur nos façons de comprendre notre environnement et les uns les autres.
Le processus a débuté en 2015 dans la capitale québécoise lorsque Fox s'est initié à la méthode d'impression cyanotype. À l’époque, travaillant dans la photographie documentaire et de mode, le photographe a commencé à se passionner et tenter de comprendre la façon dont les humains lisent les images, pour ensuite jouer avec ces regles de visions. Perceptions commença là.
Étant neurodivergents, iel voyait et percevait également la vie à travers leur lentille unique. Grâce à l'adaptation sociale à leur condition, leur intérêt pour les distinctions en matière de discernement s'est accru.
Après avoir exposé à travers le monde, c'est un plaisir pour l'artiste de retourner dans son pays d'origine et d'avoir des conversations au sein de la culture qui a fait son éducation et qui a déclenché toutes ces questions.
W.Fox is a Belgian artist who lived from Mumbai to Montreal, and Lisbon to London in the last 10 years. Living in different environments has pushed forward their comprehension of the cultural impact on our ways of understanding our surroundings and each other.
The process started in 2015 in the Quebec capital when Fox was introduced to the Cyanotype printing method. At the time, working in documentary and fashion photography, the photographer began a passion for understanding the way humans read imagery and playing within those rules. Perceptions started there.
Being neurodivergent, they also saw and perceived life through their unique lens. Through social adaptation to the condition, their interest in the distinctions in discernment grew.
After exhibiting around the world, it is a pleasure for the artist to return to their home country and have conversations within the culture that made their education and started all those questions.
